1. Commitment to Accessibility

We aim to provide an inclusive and user-friendly digital environment that supports access to conference information, scholarly articles, editorial policies, archives, and key publishing services across desktop and mobile platforms.

Accessibility is an integral part of our continuous improvement strategy, and we actively work to reduce barriers that may affect access to academic content and services.

2. Accessibility Standard Target

The AAFT University Conference Series strives to design and enhance its digital services in alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

We recognize that some legacy content or third-party materials may not yet fully conform to these standards, but ongoing improvements are being implemented.

3. Measures We Take

  • Use of clear heading structures and meaningful page titles
  • Improved keyboard navigation for interactive elements
  • Readable typography, appropriate spacing, and contrast-aware design
  • Responsive design for compatibility across devices and screen sizes
  • Optimization of forms, buttons, links, and system messages
  • Encouragement of accessible publishing practices for authors

4. Accessible Scholarly Content

We encourage authors and contributors to follow accessibility best practices, including:

  • Logical document structure
  • Use of descriptive headings
  • Meaningful link text
  • Alternative text for images and non-text elements

However, due to the nature of scholarly publishing, some PDFs, archived materials, figures, tables, or externally provided content may have accessibility limitations.

5. Known Limitations

Some older content, legacy archives, embedded materials, or third-party integrations may not fully meet current accessibility standards.

We are actively working to identify and improve high-priority content and user journeys.

6. Third-Party Content and Services

Certain features of the platform may depend on third-party services such as hosting providers, indexing platforms, embedded tools, or external repositories.

While we strive to use accessible technologies, we do not have full control over the accessibility of third-party systems.

7. Feedback, Assistance, and Alternative Access

If you experience any accessibility barriers or require assistance accessing content, we encourage you to contact us with details of the issue, including the page and nature of the difficulty.

We will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative access, resolve issues, or guide users to accessible resources.

8. Review Cycle and Updates

This Accessibility Statement may be updated periodically to reflect improvements in technology, content updates, and evolving accessibility standards.

Users are encouraged to review this page regularly.
