1. Commitment to Accessibility

We aim to provide an inclusive digital environment that enables easy access to journal information, article metadata, policy pages, archives, and essential user journeys across both desktop and mobile devices.

Accessibility is an ongoing priority, and we continuously work to reduce barriers that may affect access to research content, submission systems, and publishing services.

2. Accessibility Standard Target

We strive to design and improve our digital services in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. While we aim for full compliance, certain legacy or third-party content may not yet fully meet these standards.

3. Measures We Take

To enhance accessibility, we implement several measures across the platform:

  • Clear and structured headings with meaningful page titles
  • Improved keyboard navigation for interactive elements
  • Readable typography, proper spacing, and accessible color contrast
  • Responsive design for multiple devices and screen sizes
  • Usable forms, buttons, links, and system messages
  • Encouragement of accessible publishing practices for submitted content

4. Accessible Scholarly Content

We encourage authors to follow best practices in document structure, including descriptive headings, meaningful links, and alternative text for non-text elements.

However, due to the nature of academic publishing, some PDFs, archived materials, figures, tables, or externally sourced content may have accessibility limitations.

5. Known Limitations

Some older content, embedded resources, or third-party integrations may not fully meet current accessibility standards. We continue to review and improve high-priority areas to enhance user experience over time.

6. Third-Party Content and Services

Certain features of the website may depend on third-party platforms, tools, or hosted services. While we aim to use accessible solutions, we do not have full control over the accessibility compliance of external services.

7. Feedback, Assistance, and Alternative Access

If you encounter any accessibility barriers or require assistance accessing content, please contact us with details of the issue, including the specific page and type of support needed.

We will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative access, resolve the issue, or guide you to an accessible format.

8. Review Cycle and Updates

This Accessibility Statement may be updated periodically to reflect improvements, updates in standards, and changes in services or content.
